NAACCR Conference
Affiliated Activities

There are tons of excellent outdoor activities available in and near Boise. In fact, there is so much to do that we altered the conference schedule so you could enjoy the great outdoors during the coolest part of the day. Boise will likely be quite warm in the late afternoon – maybe 100 degrees - but it is a dry heat... There is so much to do that we needed to split activities into NAACCR-affiliated and other activities that you may find interesting.

Morning Walk/Run

The Morning Walk/Run is back! This free event will be held Thursday morning beginning at 6:30 am. Details on meeting place and course route will be forthcoming. There is no need to register for this event.

NAACCR-Affiliated Excursion to Bogus Basin

On Wednesday afternoon, there will be a NAACCR-affiliated excursion to Bogus Basin, our local ski resort and summer mountain recreation hub. Bogus Basin has brilliant trails for hiking, cross-country and lift-assist mountain biking, a mountain coaster, ropes course, and more. The wildflowers should be in peak form in late June. See https://bogusbasin.org/your-mountain/things-to-do/summer-activities/. Registrants will be assisted in organizing self-paid shuttles to Bogus Basin from Boise. Don’t worry, you won’t be left behind. Note that the road turns 172 times and gains 3,400 feet in the 16-mile drive. If you are prone to car sickness, you are in for a test.

This event is a pay-as-you-go event.  You can pick your preferred activity at Bogus Basin. Reserve transportation to and from the Bogus Basin area on Wednesday, June 26. Transportation will be by charter bus for $30 per person round trip. Please note that you will choose (and pay for, if necessary) your own activities once you arrive at the recreation area. Transportation will be limited to 50 people. There will be two departure times and two return times. More information will be emailed to you nearer the time of the event.
